Kitchen & Cakes
Three co-workers, a volunteer and member of staff work in the Phoenix kitchen each day. They make the essential cups of tea at morning break and a tasty two course lunch for all on site, sometimes lunch for 22! Our kitchen crew also do all the baking for our cake orders and special occasions, both internal for our monthly open Saturday, and external for Milton Community Cafe and event catering commissions.

Our co-workers undertake many different jobs as part of their kitchen role, in addition to food preparation they also choose and write the weekly menu, tend our kitchen garden, order and unpack the groceries, do the laundry, plus serve the delicious meals they have made and the obligatory tidying up after.
Cakes for Events
Occasionally we have been asked to cater for select events such as a learning disability conference, village community days, meetings, birthday parties and even a wedding! If you need multiple cakes for your occasion, be it a regular monthly event or just a one off special day, please get in touch to discuss.


We make around 100 two course lunches each week at Phoenix catering for all the team

We use over 4000 eggs per year to make Phoenix cakes.

Lime and blueberry cake is always our bestseller but the Phoenix family always choose chocolate for birthdays!
