On July 2nd, we received an email, out of the blue, from Jules at Pulse Secure, saying “We are based in St John’s Innovation Park and would like to volunteer a team of people to do various tasks on 2nd October 2018".
Fast forward three months, and we have just had an amazing day with a bunch of lovely people! They came and painted and decorated our old office and the locker room, plus the front of the portacabin, the main woodshed and the courtyard, reclaimed after the demolition of the potting shed. However, it doesn’t end there, we also have new flower beds by the pond, a wonderful new path showcasing all our paving slabs and a stepping stone trail winding through the site. Finally, a group of volunteers pallet busted the whole day long, so we now have a stack of wood all ready to be made into products for sale. So, from all of us at Phoenix, a massive thank you to Pulse Secure – not only did you work really hard, you were great colleagues to have, even if it was for just one day! See the video here.
