Phoenix News

We have been deemed an essential service during this lockdown, for the support we offer to our co-workers, and consequently it was our intention to stay open during all of November. However, we are coping with acute staff shortages, and therefore, regrettably, the site will be closed until Tuesday, November 17th. During this time, we are still able to take orders by email, but please allow an extra two weeks for orders to be completed. From November 17th until the end of lockdown, we will be working on site, making our products, but closed to visits from customers. However, as above, orders can still be taken, by email and phone, and products can be collected from the site, by appointment, and with strict social distancing procedures in place. There will be no disruption to selling Christmas trees! We appreciate your ongoing custom and support at this difficult time. Thank you from the Phoenix Team

Although Christmas will undoubtedly be different this year, I am delighted to report that we are still going to be selling Christmas trees and other festive products, such as Christmas Eve crates, wreaths, cards and gifts. More info to follow, so watch this space, and in the meantime, here is a photo of some of the sales team in 2019!

When we were given a full-size pool table by COEL, a design and fit-out company and friend of Phoenix, we little realised what it would lead to – a wonderfully equipped recreational room, complete with dart board. We have so many people to thank Neil Cook, COEL’s CEO, who spearheaded the community effort, which saw P&A Construction providing the labour. Martin Taylor at KRB Installations the electrical work, Huws Gray Ridgeons Ltd, building materials, Tradelink Windows and Doors and A&S Flooring, the door and carpet. Neil’s friends within the Cambridge business community including Cheffins, Carter Jonas, TMJ Interiors, Corporate Architecture, First Intuitions, Dernford, Allia Future Business Centre, Camel Projects (Histon) Ltd and Wager Property Management also all generously contributed. A highlight of the project was the involvement of our co-workers, as shown in the photos, from constructing the frame at the beginning, through to providing the refreshments at our grand opening. A huge thank you from all of us at Phoenix to everyone involved!
