Working boosts self-esteem, fosters independence and makes life much more interesting. At Phoenix we provide the opportunity for adults with learning difficulties to realise their potential by participating in all areas of our social enterprise.
Skills developed through a work placement include
- trade skills (concrete mixing, carpentry, gardening, catering)
- workplace skills (e.g. health and safety, working as a team)
- life skills (e.g. cooking, independent travel )
- basic skills (numeracy, literacy and IT)

Support for Parents – pinpoint
pinpoint Cambridgeshire is an independent information, support and parental involvement network. We are run by parents, and work for all parents and carers, across Cambridgeshire, especially those with children with additional needs and disabilities.
