Training will ultimately provide a significant proportion of the organisation’s income. The training is focussed on both individuals with disabilities and other individual who have significant problems entering the labour market. Income will be generated via educational institutions, primarily further education (FE) colleges and community colleges, who need an outlet for the education of students for whom the traditional paths of education are not suitable.
The Phoenix Trust, through its employees and volunteers, has an impressive background in working with these client groups. The Trust has developed a portfolio of training that, while having core content, can be tailored to the needs of each student and contains a mix of life skills and industry specific skills around manufacture and commerce in general.
Again through previous experience there are strong connections with the region’s FE colleges and the Trust is well placed to work with the colleges to provide training schemes for their students and an income stream for the Trust.
